Abstract
Recently, CapCut has become a popular application due to its video template feature that allows users to create videos quickly and easily without having to spend a lot of time. The CapCut video template feature offers a variety of music genres, including pop, rock, jazz, and others. One of the popular video templates on CapCut is “jedag-jedug”, a favorite choice among users. Additionally, the jedag-jedug video template is designed with dynamic and stunning themes and visual effects, so it is pleasing to the eye to watch. This research aims to determine the visualization of self-confidence in the jedag-jedug video template using Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic theory, specifically the semiotic meaning triangle. The research results show that the jedag-jedug video template plays an important role in building user confidence. This can be analyzed through signs that indicate self-confidence hidden behind the visuals of the jedag-jedug video template. There are four indications of self-confidence according to Lauster that are used in analysis, namely believing in one's own abilities, acting independently in making decisions, having a positive self-concept, and daring to express opinions. By using a jedag-jedug video template and sharing it on social media, you can encourage audiences to follow trends and display their self-confidence more expressively.
