Abstract

This study is motivated by the low level of student creativity at SMP IT Al- Mishbah Riau. The object of the study is the students in class VII 1 with a total of 15 students. The type of the study is Classroom Action Research (CAR) while the data collection technique of the study is observation. The problem formulation of the study is whether the impelementation of Cooperative Learning method of Mind Mapping type can increase student creativity in class VII at SMP IT Al- Mishbah Riau. The aim of the study is to find out whether the implementation of Cooperative Learning method of Mind Mapping type can increase student creativity in class VII at SMP IT Al-Mishbah Riau. The results of the study show that from the results of observations of teacher and student activities in implementing the Mind Mapping method at the first cycle was 77% and it experienced an increase at the second cycle to 88% of a high category. Based on the observations, student creativity increased with an average of 73%. At the first cycle, the students obtained an average result of 77%. At the second cycle, the students obtained an average result of 85% with a high category.
