Abstract

This study is motivated by the problem of students’ low interpersonal intelligence in learning Islamic Studies at SMPN 35 Pekanbaru. The aim of the study is to investigate the influence of Jigsaw cooperative learning model on students’ interpersonal intelligence in learning Islamic Studies at SMPN 35 Pekanbaru. This is a quantitative study with a correlational approach. This study involves the entire population of 72 students as a sample. The data collection techniques of the study are questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis techniques of the study are normality test, descriptive test, and simple linear regression test. The result of the mastery level of Jigsaw cooperative learning model in learning Islamic Studies at SMPN 35 Pekanbaru is 0.7916 or 79.16%, which is in the range of 76%-100% or in the good category. Then the result of the level of students’ interpersonal intelligence in learning Islamic Studies at SMPN 35 Pekanbaru is 0.7643 or 76.43% which is in the range of 76%-100% or included in the good category. The results of the study show that there is an influence of Jigsaw cooperative learning model on students’ interpersonal intelligence in learning Islamic Studies with the probability value (0.000) is less than the significance value (0.005), which means that Ha is accepted. In conclusion, there is an influence of Jigsaw cooperative learning model on students’ interpersonal intelligence in learning Islamic Studies at SMPN 35 Pekanbaru.
