Abstract

This research was motivated by the influence of students’ discipline on learning achievement. The research problem in this study was how student discipline affected learning achievement at Senior High School 3 Siak Hulu Kampar. The purpose of this research was to determine the influence of students’ discipline on learning achievement at Senior High School 3 Siak Hulu Kampar. This research used a quantitative method with a correlation approach and simple linear regression analysis. Data collection techniques were conducted through questionnaires and documentation. The sample in this study used a saturated sample involving 80 students. The analysis results using SPSS showed a value of 10.297, indicating a positive influence of students’ discipline on learning achievement, while the regression coefficient (b) indicated that if students’ discipline increased by one unit, learning achievement would increase by 0.621. This showed that student discipline affected students’ learning achievement. The coefficient of determination (R Square) was 0.539 or 53.9%, which was in the range of 0.40-0.599, indicating that student discipline and learning achievement were in a strong category. Thus, it could be concluded that there was a fairly strong influence of student discipline on learning achievement at Senior High School 3 Siak Hulu Kampar.
