Abstract

This research began with issues related to student activeness, such as lack of responsiveness to teachers, insufficient engagement in summarizing materials, difficulty expressing opinions, minimal initiative to ask questions, attending school unprepared, and non-compliance in completing tasks. The purpose of this research was to evaluate the influence of Learning Media based presentation on students' active learning in Fiqh subject at Islamic Senior High School IT Skill of Hasanah Pekanbaru. The research method was quantitative with a correlation approach, involving 82 students as the population. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation. The hypothesis test results indicated a value of 0.02<0.05, indicating the influence of presentation media on students' learning activeness. The summary table depicted that presentation media contributed 10.8%, with a category of very weak influence. The research conclusion affirmed that presentation media has a positive impact on students' active learning in Fiqh subject at Islamic Senior High School IT Skill of Hasanah Pekanbaru. Therefore, improving students' active learning can be achieved by further utilizing presentation media. Subsequent research was expected to explore other strategies to enhance students' active learning besides the improvement of presentation media conducted in this study.
