Abstract

Islamic Studies teachers strive to create students’ Pancasila profiles of faith, devotion and noble characters at SMKN 1 Bangko of Rokan Hilir Regency. The problems that often occur are: there are some students who ignore prayer, some students who still say impolite words to friends and teachers, and some students who are still noisy when lessons are still in progress. The problem formulation of the study is what efforts made by the Islamic Studies teachers in realizing students’ Pancasila profiles in dealing with the faith, devotion and noble characters at SMKN 1 Bangko. This is a qualitative study conducted at SMKN 1 Bangko. Meanwhile, the data collection techniques of the study are interviews and documentation for Islamic Studies teachers. The results of the study show that the efforts made by the teachers are: 1) having a responsibility to love and care for themselves, fellow humans and nature. 2) carrying out commands and stay away from prohibitions. 3) having compassion, care, appreciation and respect for oneself dan other opinions and respecting freedom in carrying out worship. 4) Never damaging or abusing the natural environment. And 5). Teaching students to realize that their role as citizens is important for the unity and safety of the nation and country. Futhermore, it is expected that this study can be used as a reference for other researchers to do futher studies on the efforts of Islamic Studies teachers in realizing the students’ Pancasila profiles.
