Abstract
Students who become prospective workforce are required to have the ability, expertise, understanding and personality attributes as an effort to prepare to enter the desired world of work. Students who are able to determine job choices are students who already have good and mature work readiness. Some factors that can influence work readiness, one of which is self-efficacy. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and work readiness in final year students of Riau Islamic University. The instruments used to collect data are the self-efficacy scale based on Bandura's concept and the work readiness scale based on Pool and Sewell's concept. This study uses a quantitative correlational research type. Sampling in this study used random sampling. The subjects of this study amounted to 356 people. Data analysis used the Spearman's Rank Order test. The results of the Spearman's Rank Order correlation analysis obtained a correlation coefficient of 0.724 with a p value = 0.000 (p <0.05) which indicates that there is a significant positive relationship between self-efficacy and work readiness, meaning that students who have high self-efficacy then high work readiness, and vice versa if students have low self-efficacy then low work readiness.
