Abstract
Social media is a place for an illustrator to follow trends, find information, work ideas and upload his work to get appreciation. The high intensity of social media use indicates the enactment of Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) and Social Media Fatigue (SMF). The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between FoMO and SMF in the Illustrator Community. This study uses quantitative methods with 210 respondents determined by purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to the Illustrator Community group on Facebook and Discord server. The results of this study indicate that the R value = 0.405 and a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, proving the relationship between SMF and FoMO, so the hypothesis is accepted. An illustrator who intensely uses social media for fear of missing a trend or FoMO will make the illustrator vulnerable to SMF. The higher the level of FoMO, the higher the level of SMF, and vice versa.
