Abstract

The phenomenon of Phone Snubbing (Phubbing) is increasingly common, especially among students. Riau Islamic University. This research aims to provide an overview of Phone Snubbing (Phubbing) among Psychology students at Riau Islamic University. This research uses a descriptive quantitative method approach, with the data source in this research being questionnaire data. The scale used in this research is the Hilmi, F (2019) scale which consists of 12 items. There were 108 participants in this research who were selected using random sampling. The data analysis technique uses descriptive data analysis techniques. The research results show that in general, the level of Phone Snubbing (Phubbing) is in the high category, with 45 respondents or 47% belonging to that category. Based on gender and age level, it shows that there is no difference in Phone Snubbing (Phubbing) based on gender and age.
