Abstract
This research aims to describe how fashion design is taught in class XI fashion I majoring in fashion design at SMKN 3 Pekanbaru. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The data collection consisted of 6 people consisting of the head of the fashion design department, the fashion design class teacher and 2 students of class XI Fashion Design I at SMKN 3 Pekanbaru, Riau Province. The theory used in this research is Wina Sanjaya (2013:58). There are five components including: learning objectives, learning methods, learning media, learning evaluation. The data analysis techniques used in this research are data reduction, display or presentation of data, and drawing conclusions from verification data. From the analysis of data found in the field, it was then concluded that the material taught in fashion design learning. The method used is the lecture and demonstration method. The facilities and infrastructure used to carry out learning are classrooms, clothing design laboratories, practical equipment and boutique rooms. The assessments used by teaching staff at each meeting and at the end of the learning process are given qualitatively in the form of Very Good (A), Good (B), Fair (C), and Poor (D).
