Abstract
This research aims to determine the educational values in Sitanggang Dance at the Ncik Gemilau Studio, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province. In this research the author uses the theory from Ani Nur Aeni (2018:4) that the value of education is a process of guidance through suritauladan, education that is oriented towards instilling life values which include religious values, cultural values, ethical/moral and aesthetic values towards personal formation. someone who has religious spiritual intelligence, self-control, a complete personality, noble character, as well as skills needed by himself, society and the country. In this research the author used a descriptive analysis method using qualitative data, namely research carried out by approaching the object under study to obtain accurate data, the source of the data obtained was based on the results of observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research conclude that in the Sitanggang Dance at Sanggar Ncik Gemilau there are educational values, namely: (1) The value of Religious Education is found in respectful movements, refusing movements, and in the clothes worn by dancers. (2) The value of cultural education is found in respectful movements, silat movements, themes, and in the clothes worn by dancers. (3) The value of Moral Education is found in martial arts movements, resisting movements, stroking movements, and petting movements. Keywords: Educational Values, Dance, Sitanggang Dance
