Abstract

In Indonesia, the crime of drug abuse is a social problem that should be taken seriously in terms of handling. With the diversity and large population being the target of drug dealers to producers. BNNK Kuantan Singingi implements the implementation of the drug-free village program,. With the policy of implementing communication, information, education with all community groups by utilizing forums. Carrying out anti-drug volunteer formation activities. And encouraging the formation of community intervention. The problems in this study will be reviewed using the theory of social control consisting of Attachment, Involvement, Commitment, Belief. The study was conducted using a qualitative method with a descriptive research type and the main research data were obtained through interviews with the head of BNNK Kuantan Singingi, the head of the Prevention and Community Empowerment Division, the head of Gunung Kesiangan village, parents, teenagers. Based on the results of the interviews that have been conducted, it can be concluded that through the drug-free village program, it can detect and prevent early on the dangers of drug abuse. There are constraints on the limited budget, facilities with makeshift, there are still some people in Gunung Kesiangan Village who are indifferent to the dangers of drug abuse.
