Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the contribution of arm muscle power and hand-eye coordination to the basketball chest pass results of basketball extracurricular students at SMK Negeri 2 Teluk Kuantan. This type of research is multiple correlation. The population and sample in this study were 20 basketball extracurricular students at SMK Negeri 2 Teluk Kuantan. The research instruments used were the arm muscle power test, eye-hand coordination test, and chest pass test. The data analysis technique used is the multiple correlation value test. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, the following conclusions can be drawn: (1) There is a contribution of arm muscle power to the basketball chest pass results of basketball extracurricular students at SMK Negeri 2 Teluk Kuantan of 27.77% with a value of rcount = 0.527 > rtable 0.444. (2) There is a contribution of hand-eye coordination to the basketball chest pass results of extracurricular basketball students at SMK Negeri 2 Teluk Kuantan of 28.41% with a value of rcount = 0.533 > rtable 0.444. (3) There is a contribution of arm muscle power and hand-eye coordination to the basketball chest pass results of extracurricular basketball students at SMK Negeri 2 Teluk Kuantan of 35.64% and the remaining 27.24% with a value of rcount = 0.597 > rtable 0.444.
