Abstract

The method used is qualitative descriptive research. The research sample consisted of 12 athletes taken from a population of 45 athletes. The instrument used to collect data was a test of basic tennis technique skills, including serve, forehand, backhand and volley tests. The data obtained was analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques in the form of percentages. The results of the research show that the overall level of basic tennis technical abilities of Eka Tennis Club athletes is in the medium category. The details of the results are: very high category found in 1 athlete (8.33%), high category in 1 athlete (8.33%), medium category in 7 athletes (58.34%), low category in 3 athletes (25% ), and the very low category was not found (0%).
