Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the contribution of agility and ankle coordination to the ball dribbling ability of extracurricular soccer students at SMP Negeri 12 Pekanbaru. This type of research is multiple correlation. The population in this study was extracurricular football students at SMP Negeri 12 Pekanbaru, totaling 15 people. The sampling technique used was total sampling so that the sample in this study was 15 people. The research instruments used were the back and forth running test, the eye-foot coordination test and the soccer ball dribbling test. The data analysis technique used is the multiple correlation value test. Based on the test results, it was concluded that 1) There was a contribution of eye-foot coordination to the ball dribbling ability of extracurricular soccer students at SMP Negeri 12 Pekanbaru with a value of rcount = 0.664 > rtable = 0.514 and a KD value of 44.09%. 2) There is a contribution of agility to the ball dribbling ability of extracurricular soccer students at SMP Negeri 12 Pekanbaru with a value of rcount = 0.731 > rtable = 0.514 and a KD value of 53.44%. 3) There is a contribution of eye-foot coordination and agility to the ball dribbling ability of extracurricular soccer students at SMP Negeri 12 Pekanbaru with a value of rcount = 0.780 > rtable = 0.514 and a KD value of 60.84%.
