Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the basic technical skills of playing volleyball among students at SMP Negeri 25 Pekanbaru. This type of research is descriptive quantitative with the research sample consisting of 14 students at SMP Negeri 25 Pekanbaru. The research instrument used was a test of the basic technical skills of playing volleyball among students at SMP Negeri 25 Pekanbaru. Based on the results of the descriptive frequency analysis, it can be concluded that the survey results of the basic technical skills of playing volleyball among students at SMP Negeri 25 Pekanbaru according to the test norms were obtained by 6 people or 42.86% in the Medium category, 5 people or 35.71% in the Poor category were obtained. 3 people or 21.43% in the Very Poor category with the final average score achieved by students only 12.43 with a poor classification Keywords: basic technical skills for playing volleyball
