Abstract
The aim of this research was to look at the VO2Max level of women's basketball athletes at the Mahameru Pekanbaru club. The type of research used in this research is quantitative descriptive research. The population in this study were all women's basketball athletes from the Mahameru Pekanbaru club, while the sampling technique in this study used total sampling, so the sample in this study was 14 people. The test used in this research uses the bleep test. From the results of research using 14 samples studied by women's basketball athletes from the Mahameru Pekanbaru club, results were obtained at intervals < 40 in the very poor category. This shows that the VO2max possessed by Mahameru club women's basketball athletes is very low, which causes the need for long-term follow-up and evaluation. This research confirms the importance of VO2Max as a key indicator in assessing athletes' physical capacity for high-intensity activities such as basketball. By implementing a more focused cardiorespiratory training program, it is hoped that athletes can achieve higher VO2Max levels, increase athletes' endurance on the field, and achieve optimal performance in competitions.
