Abstract
Every person in Indonesia who uses a motorized vehicle, one of which is a motorized vehicle, is used to facilitate activities and make it smooth from one area to another. During its development, the automotive industry in the world is increasingly sophisticated and is equipped with additional features on vehicles such as the addition of rotator lights to private vehicles. Meanwhile, the use of the rotator lights above is only for certain vehicles as regulated in Post 59 paragraph (5) of Law Number 22 Year 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation. The problems that the authors examine in this study are law enforcement against the use of private vehicle rotator lights in Pekanbaru City and what obstacles are faced in law enforcement against the use of private vehicle rotator lights in Pekanbaru City. The type of research used in this research is observational (non-doctrinal) legal research. This research was conducted in Pekanbaru City. The data used in this study use primary data and secondary data. Data aids using interviews and questionnaires. Population and sample are the parties related to the total problem of this research. The data analysis used is a qualitative technique by means of deductive inference. From the results of law enforcement research on the use of rotator lights for individuals in Pekanbaru City by the Pekanbaru Police, especially the Pekanbaru City Police Traffic Unit, maximum efforts have been made by making various efforts ranging from preemptive, preventive, and repressive, emotional, preventive, and repressive efforts. , although the attempt was ultimately successful. Barriers to law enforcement against the use of rotator lights for private vehicles in Pekanbaru City are barriers to law enforcement, namely barriers to public awareness and law, as well as barriers to facilities and infrastructure.
