Abstract

Law enforcement is very essential in a country of law that prioritizes the implementation of state law based on the law in order to realize the objectives of the law, namely justice in community and state life. All of these activities are related to the protection of human interests. Theft accompanied by violence through threats of violence, for example hitting the victim by tying them up or threatening them so that they are quiet and do not move. In this study, the main problem is how the process of enforcing the law on the crime of theft with violence (curas) at the Sukajadi Police and what are the obstacles in the process of enforcing the law on the crime of theft with violence (curas) at the Sukajadi Police. The research method used in this study is observation research by means of a survey, while the nature of this research is descriptive. The population in this study were investigators with an Accidental Sampling sampling technique and the data collection tool used was an interview. From the results of the author's research, it is known that law enforcement for the crime of theft with violence (curas) by conducting investigations, inquiries and so on, has referred to the applicable regulations, namely the Criminal Procedure Code and the Criminal Code and Perkap Polri No. 14 of 2012 concerning the management of criminal investigations in the application of criminal penalties for the crime of theft with violence and Inhibiting factors in law enforcement against the crime of theft with violence at the Sukajadi Police can be divided into internal factors and external factors. Internal factors that come from within the police institution, namely the internal conditions of the Sukajadi Police, consist of a lack of human resources for members of the Sukajadi Police Criminal Investigation Unit, lack of facilities and infrastructure and external factors that are obstacles are weak community compliance, transfer of workplaces of members of the Sukajadi Police Criminal Investigation Unit, economic factors.
