Abstract

The number of embezzlement cases in the Sukajadi Police Sector Area that researchers obtained from 2021 to 2023. In 2021, the number of criminal cases began to increase by 14 cases. Then in 2022 there was another increase to 18 cases. In 2023, the cases experienced a slight decrease, namely 17 cases. Based on the background description, there are problems that arise in this study. The problems in this study are How is the Law Enforcement of Embezzlement Criminal Cases in the Sukajadi Police Jurisdiction and what are the Obstacles When Implementing Law Enforcement of Embezzlement Criminal Cases in the Sukajadi Police Jurisdiction. This type of research is included in the Empirical research category, which is a data collection technique, where researchers conduct direct observations of research objects in Law Enforcement Against Embezzlement Criminal Cases in the Sukajadi Police Jurisdiction Area to see the activities carried out up close. While the nature of the research is included in the Analytical Descriptive category, namely research that intends to be able to provide a description and description of the object being studied in Law Enforcement Against Embezzlement Criminal Cases in the Sukajadi Police Jurisdiction Area through data or samples that have been collected without conducting analysis and making a summary that applies to the public The law enforcement process for embezzlement cases is that the victim must make a written police report. The police will conduct an investigation to collect evidence related to the case. If sufficient evidence is found, the police will upgrade the status of the case to an investigation. After the investigation is complete, the case file will be handed over to the prosecutor's office for prosecution. After the trial is finished, the judge will read out the verdict. Several efforts that can be made to increase the effectiveness of law enforcement in embezzlement cases include strengthening the reporting system, improving the quality of investigations, strengthening the justice system, preventing criminal acts of embezzlement, increasing the role of the community.
