Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of the 5E Learning Cycle model assisted by educational videos on the mathematical literacy of eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 3 Siak Hulu. This research is a quasi-experimental study using a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study consisted of eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 3 Siak Hulu for the academic year 2024/2025. The sample selection used purposive sampling, with class XI.3, comprising 35 students, as the experimental group and class XI.2, also comprising 35 students, as the control group. The research instruments and data collection tools were pretest and posttest sheets. Data was collected through testing techniques. Data analysis involved both descriptive and inferential analysis methods. The results of the study showed that there is a difference in students' mathematical literacy between those who used the 5E Learning Cycle model assisted by instructional videos and those who followed conventional teaching methods. Therefore, it can be concluded that the 5E Learning Cycle model, aided by instructional videos, positively affects the mathematical literacy of eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 3 Siak Hulu.
