Abstract
Mathematical critical thinking ability is an ability that must be possessed by students. This study aims to analyze the mathematical critical thinking ability of students in statistics material at SMP Negeri 4 Siak Hulu class VIII. This type of research is qualitative research. The data collection technique used is the test method in the form of descriptive questions and interviews. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the data analysis show that the overall mathematical critical thinking ability of students is in the moderate category with an average value of 71.88. Based on the high category indicator, the average is 80 while the low category indicator is 65.33. Keywords:
