Abstract
Profile of Mathematics Learning Style Based on Academic Ability Level of Students of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru is a research that aims to describe the description of the tendency of students' learning style based on the level of students' academic ability through the odd semester exam scores in the 2023/2024 school year. This research method is quantitative descriptive research. The subjects in this study were all students of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru consisting of 57 students in class VII, 55 students in class VIII and 82 students in class IX. Data collection techniques using non-test techniques in the form of learning style questionnaires. From the results of the study it can be concluded that there are 6 types of learning styles based on the acquisition of learning style questionnaires, namely visual type, auditory type, kinesthetic type, auditory-kinesthetic type, visual-auditory type and visual-kinesthetic type. Most of the high level academic ability students have a tendency to visual type learning style, students with medium level academic ability obtained the most results on auditory type learning style, and students with low level academic ability have the most tendency on visual type learning style. Whereas in academic ability, the medium level obtained the largest number of students compared to the other two levels and in the auditory type learning style obtained the largest number of students than the acquisition of the other 5 types of learning styles.
