Abstract
Indonesia is one of the countries that has a tropical climate. Where this tropical climate certainly provides many benefits, one of which is the palm oil industry in Indonesia, especially in Riau, has a very large role. However, among the positive impacts caused by the palm oil plantation industry, it also has a negative impact on the environmental ecosystem, one of which is the death of plants and animals. Thus, business entities or legal entities have obligations in this case stated in Article 74 paragraph (1) of the UUPT that companies that carry out their business activities in the field of and/or related to natural resources are required to carry out social and environmental responsibilities or Corporate Social Responsibility. Corporate Social Responsibility imposes obligations on the company that have been calculated or detailed as company costs whose implementation is carried out by considering fairness.. In this research, there are several legal problem formulations, namely as follows. First 1. How is Corporate Social Responsibility implemented by PT. Sawit Anugerah Sejahtera in Muarabasung Village? Second, what are the Corporate Social Responsibility programs organized by PT. Sawit Anugerah Sejahtera and what impact does it have on the community in Muarabasung Village? For this research, the author used a type of empirical legal research, namely by going into the field to obtain some data. The data and data sources that the author uses are primary and secondary data, while the data collection techniques that the author uses are observation, interview and documentation techniques. Meanwhile, the method of drawing conclusions that the author uses in this research is the deductive method, namely drawing conclusions from general to specific matters. From the results of the research and discussion that the author found are as follows: First, regarding the Implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility carried out by PT. Anugerah Sejahtera Palm Oil in Muarabasung Village to the community or surrounding environment has been implemented. This is proven by the benefits and advantages that have been received by the surrounding community. Second, the Corporate Social Responsibility Program organized by PT. Sawit Anugerah Sejahtera and its implications for the community in Muarabasung Village, such as providing basic food packages regularly, providing free waste flow for community gardens located around the company or what is called land application waste, and friendly activities during the month of Ramadhan and participating in providing sacrificial animals in Eid Al-Fitr Mubarak. Donate stones and sand to help repair roads and provide assistance in the form of mini buses for the benefit of the local community for school children and other event activities and participate in helping the government in dealing with Covid 19 by providing assistance with disinfectant spray equipment and others.
