Abstract
In the world of education, the efforts of teachers are crucial in guiding and supporting student development. Especially in Grade IV of SDN 009 Senama Nenek, Kampar Regency, the teacher or homeroom teacher has a significant responsibility in addressing student learning difficulties. This study aims to describe the efforts of teachers in overcoming student learning difficulties in a regular school environment without special support. The research method used is qualitative research with a case study approach. Data was collected through interviews with teachers and students experiencing learning difficulties, as well as direct observation of the learning process in the classroom. The data collection techniques in this study were interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study show that grade IV teachers or homeroom teachers have implemented various efforts in guiding learning tailored to the needs of students experiencing learning difficulties. The efforts made include individual approaches, teaching methods and materials, motivation, teacher-student relationships, and remedial learning. This research contributes to the understanding of the efforts made by teachers in guiding students with learning difficulties and provides suggestions for the development of more effective and inclusive learning approaches in addressing student learning difficulties, as teachers are at the forefront in guiding students facing learning difficulties.
