Abstract

Math anxiety is the emotional response of students when learning, looking at teachers, solving questions, and discussing mathematics. The study aims to find out the relationship between the level of anxiety with the learning achievement of mathematical materials wide square length and square in class IV students of SDN 21 Pekanbaru. This type of research is quantitative with a correlation model. Data collection techniques use an emergency scale and written tests. The population in this study is the entire student of SDN 21 Pekanbaru and the sample used is a student of class IV C SDN 21. Pre-conditional tests use normality, linearity, and heteroskedasticity tests. The data analysis technique used is pearson product moment with the help of SPSS 25. The results of the normality test scale of anxiety and learning performance were 0,749 and 0,074, the value is greater than 0,05 then the data is normal, the result of the linearity of 0,511 is larger than 0,05, then the information is declared linear, and the test of the heterocadastasis of 0,205 is bigger than 0.05, so the results are concluded there is no heterocadasticity. The Pearson product moment is 0.007 with a value of <0,05. There is a significant relationship between the variable of anxiety with the learning performance of mathematics learning, with the direction of a negative relationship due to the result of the correlation coefficient there is a negative sign (-) which means, the higher the anxieties in students towards learning mathematical, the lower the learning outcomes obtained by students.
