Abstract

This study aims to find out how accountability and transparency are in village financial management at the Pangkalan Baru Village office, Siak Hulu District, Kampar Regency. The types and sources of data used are primary and secondary data. The method used is descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of accountability in Pangkalan Baru Village is still not in accordance with the indicators where there is still no information disclosure during the budget preparation process, there are no opportunities for the community to participate in the village financial budgeting process, realization reports and accountability reports on the implementation of add are still not informed in writing to the public and has not been informed in information media that is easily accessible to the public. The application of the principle of transparency is also not in accordance with the indicators, where there is no conformity between implementation and standard implementation procedures, there is no accuracy and completeness of information relating to ways to achieve the goals of a program, there is no commitment from all agency staff to carry out tasks with accountable principles , there is no public access to information on a decision and there is no public complaint mechanism, and there is no information media that can be accessed by the public about a decision taken by the Pangkalan Baru Village Government.
