Abstract
The Covid-19 outbreak has had an adverse impact on the Indonesian economy, including banking. The risk posed is the large number of borrowers who experience credit problems. This problem credit is caused because the borrower cannot fulfill the agreement that has been signed in the credit agreement. The main risk of banking is non-performing loans, if the amount of credit has exceeded the limit it will affect the health of the bank itself. In practice, improving credit quality is clearly the main goal of credit restructuring. To prevent management from abusing their business and taking advantage of interested parties, credit restructuring can only be carried out for debtors who have or are expected to experience difficulty repaying the principal and/or interest in a timely manner. There is no way to avoid establishing a larger provision for possible losses on earning assets or devaluing accrued interest income because banks cannot restructure loans to avoid these consequences. This research will examine the main issues according to the scope and identification of problems through a sociological approach. Based on the sociological research method, the data sources used in this study are secondary data sources consisting of 3 legal materials, namely: primary legal materials, secondary legal materials, tertiary legal materials.
