Abstract

Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) is one of the largest banks in Indonesia and is owned by the government. In marketing these products, PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero), Tbk. Established branches and offices throughout Indonesia. One of them is the Bina Baru branch office which is located on Jalan Desa Bina Baru, Kampar Kiri Tengah. The ability of Teras BRI of the Bina Baru Branch in managing the loans provided greatly influences the stability and success of the bank, because credit checks are very important and have a significant effect on the stability of bank capital. According to data obtained by the author, the number of non-performing loans increased in 2020 and 2021, compared to the following years where the number of non-performing loans was very low. Therefore, this study aims to find out how to manage non-performing loans in order to minimize the NPL (non-performing loan) level, which is an indicator of the integrity of the assets of the Teras BRI Bina Baru branch. The data collected are primary data and secondary data. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The result is the process or steps for processing non-performing loans used at Teras BRI, Bina Baru Branch, through internal and external factors as seen from the table of non-performing loans. This research will examine the main issues according to the scope and identification of problems through a sociological approach. Based on sociological research methods, the data sources used in this study are secondary data sources consisting of 3 legal materials, namely: primary legal materials, secondary legal materials, tertiary legal materials. Data collected from literature studies.
