Abstract

Presence is a term used to refer to someone's attendance or absence at a place, usually encompassing methods and tools for recording and managing attendance data, such as manual lists, attendance machines, or modern technologies like Internet of Things-based presence systems. Therefore, an approach to developing a presence system is needed. The approach taken is using a wireless switch relay remote and ESP32 for real-time attendance recording. The wireless switch relay remote and ESP32 are the main tool components in this research, used to process, store data, and execute commands through stored programs, while the remote functions as input. For the web, localhost and the PHP programming language are used. In operation, a remote is required to control the relay, which has two buttons: an upper and a lower button. Pressing the upper button will turn on the green light, and pressing the lower button will turn on the red light. These two colors indicate that when the green light is on, the user is present, and when the red light is on, the user is not present. This research was conducted by the author with the aim of increasing time efficiency and reducing human error. This system also introduces an innovation at the study location, which is the author's case study. Therefore, the author chose this title with the hope that this presence system will contribute to improved time efficiency and accuracy.
