Abstract

Social and environmental responsibility is better known by the name Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). CSR aims to get the community involved feel the presence of the company and useful in the corporate environment. From on the social side, the company's presence in an area must be able to provide benefits in various social activities including building infrastructure, provide jobs, participate in the field of education, health, social and economic by providing material and other assistance to the community around the company. CSR in Indonesia is coercive because in Article 74 paragraph 1 and paragraph 2 unequivocally states that it is a liability for the company. Even though I have clear rules regarding CSR, widely read in various media about the company who violate and do not comply. Some companies still do conflict with the community around the company. This is the task of central and regional government to monitor the activities of companies that violate the rules in CSR and have an impact on society. The main problem of research is how is the implementation of Responsibility Corporate Social Responsibility PT. PLN Nusantara Power to the community in Tenayan Raya District, Pekanbaru City, and What are the obstacles PT. PLN Nusantara Power in carrying out Corporate Social Responsibility. While the research method used is this type of research included in the class of observational research (Observational research), namely research that observes and describes things that happen both phenomena social or natural, within a certain time span, and researchers cannot control this phenomenon. In obtaining the data, the authors using data collection methods in the form of interviews and directly to field. The results of the author's research are the implementation of Social Responsibility Company PT. PLN Nusantara Power to the people in the District Tenayan Raya, Pekanbaru City has been carried out including by there are activities for the development of the Main Garbage Bank, livestock cultivation assistance organic jaya young earthworms, clamshell honey cultivation, garden development Bunga Okura, educational development assistance in remote areas, development Puskesmas, CSR assistance for clean water facilities, and PT. PLN Nusantara Power in carrying out Corporate Social Responsibility is lacking understanding of CSR from employees of PT. PLN Nusantara Power, lack concern of the beneficiaries of CSR, and the lack of coordination between PT. PLN Nusantara Power with the assisted village community.
