Abstract

Fruit salad is an alternative to healthy food that is increasingly popular among the public, and the opportunity to develop a business in this field is wide open. The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the feasibility of developing a fruit salad business using a feasibility study approach. First, a survey using data collection techniques such as interviews and observation. This includes estimation of investment costs, income, and expenditure projections, followed by data analysis consisting of, Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Payback Period (PP), and Profitability Index (PI), Gold Value Method (GVM) and the Gold Index Method (GIM). The analysis results in this study show that the fruit salad business has promising potential. The high public interest in healthy food and a healthy lifestyle and the lack of direct competitors in the research area provides great opportunities for growth in this business. The financial analysis also shows that investment in a fruit salad business generates a favorable rate of return and a relatively short payback period. Based on the results, it is necessary to carry out an effective marketing strategy to attract potential customers and maintain market share. In addition, quality control and product safety are also essential to build consumer trust.
