Abstract
Electricity has become a primary pillar in various aspects of daily life. Its presence is not only as a source of power but also an absolute necessity for every individual. To ensure optimal electricity usage, an effective monitoring system is required. A significant problem arises when users do not understand how to use electricity meters, especially when tokens or credits have run out. By implementing a system that provides more detailed information, it is expected to improve electricity usage control so that daily activities are not disrupted by electrical energy problems. This research aims to develop and test an Internet of Things (IoT)-based electricity energy monitoring system using the NodeMCU microcontroller and the PZEM-004T sensor. This system is designed to measure, monitor, and manage electricity usage on electronic devices in real-time through the Blynk application and website. Testing was conducted using various common electronic devices, such as fans, laptop chargers, lights, battery chargers, and smartphone chargers. The test results show that the voltage and current sensors have low error values, namely 0.14% and 0.004%, indicating high measurement precision. This monitoring system provides comprehensive data visualization through various widgets on the web dashboard and smartphone. With the available information, electricity monitoring and management can be carried out better, assisting in decision-making regarding electricity consumption.
