Abstract
The High Pusako Assets are jointly owned by each member of the clan. In Minangkabau itself, the management and utilization of the inheritance can be divided among the jurai and paruik in the clan, which is also known as ganggam bauntuak. The people in this Nagari highly uphold the status of pusako Tinggi land as customary rights of the people, which are generally not certified. Some of the people in Nagari Lurah Ampalu use ranji as proof of ownership of pusako Tinggi property, and ranji also functions as a requirement for customary land registration. Misunderstandings in interpreting the genealogy of the ranji within a clan and misunderstandings regarding the division of management of the high inheritance assets can result in disputes over the high inheritance assets within the clan. Facts like this occurred in Korong Guguak Nagari, Ampalu sub-district, where there was a pusako tinggi land dispute caused by a problem of misunderstanding regarding the designation and distribution of this pusako tinggi land. The research's main focus is the Tanjung tribe's high position about property in the Korong Guguak Nagari, Lurah Ampalu, and Padang Pariaman Regencies, and also the implementation of the Tanjung tribe's high position about inheritance in the Korong Guguak Nagari, Lurah Ampulu, and Kab. Padang Pariaman.. This type of research uses the empirical research writing methodology (observation research) or direct surveys, namely research that takes samples from a population based on the results of interviews, which are supporting data. While its nature is descriptive research, namely research whose purpose is to describe something in a certain area and at a certain time. The results of the study showed that the position of high pusako assets and the implementation of the distribution of inheritance of high pusako assets According to Tanjung Tribe Customary in Korong Guguak Nagari Lurah Ampalu Kab. Padang Pariaman is a high inheritance that is owned by all members of the clan and is passed down from generation to generation based on the mother's lineage. However, there are still some parties who do not understand how the high inheritance assets are allocated. thus causing confusion in interpreting the genealogy of Ranji. This pusako property is managed by the mamak head of the heir. What is meant by the division of assets is simply management, not the property of individuals. The division according to the adat of the Tanjung tribe itself applies the distribution inherited from the inheritance of the pusako property from the mamak to the nephew, and the pusako property itself is wealth owned by the tribe or people.
