Abstract

This study aims to prove the effect of the use of accounting information on cooperative businesses in Pekanbaru. Accounting information can be used as the basis for a business decision. Making the right decision can determine the success of a business. Therefore accounting information has an important role to play in business success. The sample in this study were cooperatives registered in the cooperative office from 2015 to 2017 Pekanbaru City as many as 47 cooperatives, each cooperative consist of 3 respondents, and the respondents in this study were the heads of cooperatives, namely as many as 47 people and a secretary of 47 people and members of the cooperative were set at 47 people. In this 141 questionnaires distributed, of the total questionnaires distributed, there were 105 questionnaires that could be processed. Determination of samples using purposive sampling method. This study used a simple linear regression analysis model with SPSS 24 software. The results of this study indicate that accounting information has a significant effect on the success of cooperatives in Pekanbaru.
