Abstract
Drinking water is one of the main human needs that must be ensured for health. Water quality is essential because it has a direct impact on human health, and water pollution can come from various sources such as industrial waste, agriculture, and other human activities. With increasing urbanization and population growth, the pressure on water resources is increasing, which can threaten the quality of drinking water. The Internet of Things (IoT) is an advanced technology that allows devices and systems to connect to each other over the internet to share data in real-time. IoT technology provides a solution in water quality monitoring by collecting and analyzing data from various sensors in realtime. This allows for quick and informed decision-making to maintain water quality. This research develops an IoT-based drinking water quality monitoring system with integration using an ESP32 microcontroller. The system uses pH, TDS, temperature, and turbidity sensors to monitor different types of water such as rainwater, boiled water, bottled water, trench water, and ink water. The data from these sensors is sent in real-time to the Blynk application for monitoring and storage. The test results show that the system can accurately monitor water quality, display data in real-time, and provide important information regarding drinking water quality. This system simplifies the process of monitoring water quality and raises awareness of the importance of safe drinking water for health. This research makes a significant contribution to the development of IoT technology for water quality monitoring and public health.
