Abstract

Attendance is a data collection activity to determine the number of people present at a place or event such as invitations, schools, lectures and offices, one of which is lecture attendance. Currently, many students still use the signature method on the absence sheet which is distributed at each process. lectures. This method has weaknesses due to the possibility of cheating or absenteeism by students. The use of mobile and web applications is said to be more effective and efficient because of the ease of accessing and retrieving information. With this, the application of QR Code technology can also be used as a media for attendance as a substitute for signatures. Therefore, based on this problem, the author tries to take a theme in writing this thesis with the title "LECTURE ATTENDANCE MANAGEMENT BASED ON QRCODE TECHNOLOGY" it is hoped that by using this method the possibility of absenteeism can be avoided, because the scanning process is carried out by each student. This attendance system can also provide an attendance recap report for each course, so there is no need to calculate absences manually any more.
