Abstract

Awareness of physical health is still low in the community. Likewise, modern society today has an unhealthy lifestyle such as an instant or practical life, less attention to nutrition, rarely exercise, and an unhealthy lifestyle and way of thinking. The stomach is a vital organ for the body that is easily injured or injured. Often people with gastric diseases are reluctant to give first aid so that in the long run it can result in death. This research aims to help detect early so that patients can carry out treatment quickly and intensively. This study uses the case based reasoning method, data was obtained through field surveys and literature studies on gastric diseases to experts, then, this expert system consists of 4 diseases with 26 symptoms represented using the calculation of the expert system with the weighted nearest neighbor method. To make it easier for users to access it, this system is made web-based. Based on the results of the implementation of the system, a questionnaire score of 82%, an accuracy value of 87.5%, and a sensitivity value of 12.5% showed that this expert system was able to detect gastric diseases early and provide solutions for handling the symptoms obtained.
