Abstract

A warehouse is a temporary product storage location that may be used in production activities or company operations that are directly related to sales so that it can affect company revenue. A good warehousing management system is an effective and efficient system in organizing and managing all warehousing-related activities and information. This study aims to analyze the warehousing management system applied to PT Surya Aluminium Sejahtera (SAS) Pekanbaru City. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method. The results showed that warehousing management at PT Surya Aluminium Sejahtera (SAS) Pekanbaru City has used technology in the form of software called ASoft which contains various information to the company's financial statements. Warehousing management activities at PT Surya Aluminium Sejahtera (SAS) Pekanbaru City include receiving, unloading, storing, picking, packing, and shipping that have been running in accordance with the SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) applicable in the company. The part that still needs to be improved is the layout (layout) and its facilities. Recommendations for adjusting the layout and adding warehouse facilities such as shelves for several products, CCTV (Close Circuit Television) and APAR (Light Fire Extinguisher) to encourage the effectiveness and efficiency of the warehousing management process at PT Surya Aluminium Sejahtera (SAS) Pekanbaru City.
