Abstract
In Indonesia, food safety is still unsafe, and cases of food poisoning are currently increasing. Not infrequently, consumers are in a weak position and are at a disadvantage all the time. This research aims to inform consumers of wet noodles to be more alert and smarter in buying wet noodles on the market and to inform their subordinates that the rights and obligations of consumers are within the law and regulated. it includes Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection. This research has 2 problems, namely first, what is the legal protection for consumers if there are MSME actors who do not clearly state food health standards? Second, what factors influence the failure to implement food health standards for "Mie Panaba Bibia" MSMEs in Payakumbuh City This research method is descriptive, namely by using or telling a phenomenon and facts that occur related to consumer protection for food consuming panaba bibia noodles in Payakumbuh City. Meanwhile, this type of research is survey or observational research where the researcher directly reviews the object being studied. Data collection tools include interviews and questionnaires. The results of the research show that there is still a lack of socialization provided by the Health Service and how important it is to provide labels that explain how the food is consumed by Mie Panaba Bibia consumers. The importance of labels in a food is to provide comfort and safety for consumers to consume Panaba Bibia Noodles in Payakumbuh City.
