Abstract
The purpose of this study is to develop a web-based final assignment information system for the Mechanical Engineering Study Program at the Islamic University of Riau. This system is designed to simplify the registration process for final assignment guidance and examinations for Mechanical Engineering students. Currently, the process is still done manually and using Google Form, which can cause inefficiency and inaccuracy in data management. The research methods used include needs analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. This system was developed using the PHP programming language with the Laravel framework and MySQL as the database server. The results of the study indicate that the developed information system can facilitate students in registering for final assignment guidance, getting exam schedules, and obtaining exam invitation letters. In addition, examiners and supervisors can provide grades through this system directly, and the Head of Study Program (Kaprodi) can provide a digital signature in the form of a barcode. The tests carried out showed that this system functioned well as expected, with the evaluation results using the Likert method showing a very good response from users. This system is expected to improve efficiency and accuracy in managing final assignment data for Mechanical Engineering students at the Islamic University of Riau.
