Abstract

This study aims to determine student learning difficulties in the structure and function of plant tissue material in class XI students of Seberida 1 Public High School in the 2019/2020 Academic Year. The method used in this research is descriptive method. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires, interviews, observation and documentation. The sample in this study were 90 students, taken from class XI MIPA and XI IPS. The distributed questionnaire consists of 40 statement items with 2 indicators, namely: 1) External and 2) Internal. The intelligence indicator obtained an average of 57.2% in the sufficient category, the talent indicator obtained the percentage of 39.4% in the low category, the interest indicator obtained the percentage of 47.3% in the sufficient category, the motivation indicator obtained the percentage of 49.2 with in the sufficient category, the fatigue indicator obtained a percentage of 61.5% in the good category, in the indicator of how parents educate the percentage obtained in the good category 66.7%, in the indicator of family economic conditions the percentage was obtained in 53.5% in the sufficient category, in the method indicator teaching teachers obtained a percentage of 41.7% in the adequate category, on the mass media indicator obtained a percentage of 65.5% in the good category, on the associates indicator obtained a percentage of 72.2% in the good category. From the results of this study it can be concluded that students' learning difficulties in the material structure and function of plant tissue in class XI students of Seberida 1 Public High School in the 2019/2020 Academic Year with a percentage of 55.4% in the (enough) category
