Abstract

This study aims to produce teaching materials in the form of a module on the local wisdom of the Kampar Kiri Hulu community in managing the lubuk larangan of Subayang River based on biodiversity and conservation efforts as module for SMA/MA class X. This research is a development research that adapts the ADDIE model and is limited to the stages of analysis, design, and development. The exploratory research involved research subjects consisting of the Village Head, lubuk larangan Managers, and Youth of the village. The development research involved research subjects from SMAN 1 Pekanbaru, SMAN 8 Pekanbaru, and SMAN 14 Pekanbaru. Data were obtained from validation sheets by subject matter experts, learning experts, media experts, biology teachers, and response questionnaires from limited trials with students. The results of the exploratory research on the local wisdom of the community in the form of a cultural system for managing the resources of the lubuk larangan of the Subayang River have made significant contributions to the sustainability of the ecosystem and the maintenance of natural resources of Subayang River. There are 16 types of fish found in the prohibited pool, including families such as Osphronemidae, Channidae, Cyprinidae, Notopteridae, Siluridae, Pangasiidae, Siluridae, Bagridae, and Mastacembelidae. The results of the module development research based on the assessment by subject matter experts obtained an average score of 100% (very valid), learning experts 94.20% (very valid), media experts 98.09% (very valid), teachers 92.83% (very valid), and students 93.68% (very good). Based on all the assessment results, it can be concluded that this module teaching material is considered highly suitable for use in schools for Grade 10 of Senior High School.
