Abstract
Augmented Reality (AR) is a technology that combines objects from the real world and virtual or virtual objects in real-time conditions. The merger of real and virtual objects occurs with the right technology support while the interaction can occur using certain devices. In the field of education, the learning media that is widely used at this time still uses books that contain writing and a few pictures. The lack of variety in online learning really has a negative impact on teaching and learning activities, plus the media students used to learn are mostly books containing writing and a few 2-dimensional images. One of the impacts of this is that it causes student boredom in participating in learning, this is caused by external factors, such as the monotony of teachers providing materials and the absence of friends who can be directly invited to discuss the teacher's learning materials. This application was made with the aim of building learning media regarding the learning of long measuring instruments in physics subjects using augmented reality to carry out teaching and learning activities as well as to increase student learning motivation and student understanding. The application is created using Blender 3D, Unity as a 3D display and by using the markerless method and using the ARCore SDK library. Based on the tests carried out, animations can be displayed indoors and outdoors and can track locations anywhere provided that the light intensity is sufficient above 6 lux light intensity, and in distance testing, at a minimum distance of 5 cm 3D animation can appear. The user test received a score of 89.14% with the conclusion that respondents "Strongly agree" with the learning application regarding length measuring tools in physics using augmented reality can help the learning process.
