Abstract

Ethnomathematics is mathematics related to the culture or habits of the people in an area. There are many mathematical concepts in people's lives, one of which is jalur, which is a tradition of the Kuantan Singingi society. There are mathematical values in the jalur, namely from the history of making the jalur to when the jalur is finished. This research was conducted to explore the mathematical values of jalur the Kuantan Singingi cultural using qualitative research methods. This research was conducted in one of the Jalur-making villages in Kuantan Singingi district with qualitative techniques involving 4 research subjects as well as books related to Jalur and source triangulation to validate the data obtained. This research was conducted to expand the study of mathematics related to local culture so that it can be one of the sources of mathematics learning.
