Abstract
The use of a manual cashier system that is prone to transaction errors and takes considerable time in recording ultimately reduces operational efficiency. To overcome this problem, this research aims to design and develop an Android-based Point of Sales application to improve the operational efficiency of AD Vape Store. This research is classified as development research and applies the Waterfall method which consists of several stages, namely project initiation, project planning, analysis, design, implementation, and deployment. To assess the feasibility of the Point of Sales application developed, researchers used two evaluation methods, namely the black box test and the feasibility test using the WebQual 4.0 method. The WebQual 4.0 method is used to measure the extent to which the application meets user needs based on three main indicators: usability, service interaction, and information quality. The results showed that from the usability aspect, the AD Vape Store Point of Sales application obtained a score of 75%, which is included in the feasible category. This shows that the application is easy to use by users and has an intuitive interface. From the aspect of service interaction, the application is considered very feasible with a percentage of 80%. This shows that the Point of Sales application has good integration with payment systems and inventory management, and provides a fast response to user requests. In addition, from the aspect of information quality, the Point of Sales application obtained a score of 79%, which is also included in the very feasible category. High information quality indicates that the application is able to provide accurate, relevant, and up-to-date information for users. Overall, the results of this study indicate that the Androidbased Point of Sales application developed for AD Vape Store has succeeded in improving operational efficiency by meeting the eligibility criteria measured through the WebQual 4.0 method. Thus, this application is expected to be an effective solution to replace the previously used manual cashier system.
