Abstract
Wages are one of the means used by workers to improve welfare. Wages paid to workers for their services in the production of wealth like other factors of production, labor is given rewards for their services which are called wages. The minimum wage is the lowest wage that will be used as a standard by employers to determine the actual wages of workers/laborers who work in their company. However, the wages set by employers are more likely to emphasize company expenses so as to provide the lowest possible wages. PT. Karya Reski Sentosa is one of the companies that currently still pays wages or employee salaries below the applicable minimum wage. This is contrary to the provisions stipulated in Law Number 13 of 2003 concerning Manpower. In this study the authors formulate the main problem as follows: How is the implementation of remuneration for workers at PT. RESKI SENTOSA DURI'S WORKS? What are the salary payment constraints experienced by workers at PT. KARYA RESKI SENTOSA DURI based on Law no. 13 of 2003 concerning Employment? From the point of view of the method used in this study, this type of research is observational research by means of surveys, namely research that takes samples from one population using interviews and questionnaires as the main data collection tools. The sampling technique that the authors used in this study was purposive sampling, namely determining the number of samples that represented the existing population, whose sample categories had been determined by the researchers themselves. Based on the results of research regarding the implementation of the minimum wage for employees of PT Karya Reski Sentosa in Bengkalis district, it is known that there is still payment of wages to employees under predetermined elections. The obstacle is due to reduced hotel revenue as a result of the decreasing number of people's interest in tourism at this time. In accordance with applicable regulations, the employer can apply for a wage suspension if the employer is unable to pay wages in accordance with the applicable minimum wage.
