Abstract

What is the Penetration Testing Simulation Process Using the Brute Force Method Using Hydra. How to defend against SMART systems from Brute Force attacks using Hydra. The aim of this research is to find out whether CERDAS is safe from brute force attacks, especially attacks using Hydra. Implementation of CERDAS penetration testing (pentest) research using the ISSAF (Information System Security Assessment Framework) method. The next stage is penetration testing. In this stage, 4 testing processes are carried out, namely Information Gathering, Network Mapping, Vulnerability Scanning and Penetration. The research results show that the login page security system used by CERDAS has gaps against brute force attacks with a success rate of carrying out attacks reaching up to 100%. Based on the research results, CERDAS must improve the login page security system in an effort to avoid brute force attacks that aim to harm the system. CERDAS is vulnerable to brute force attacks due to the lack of security verification on the entry page into the system. Provide limits on login attempts to prevent repeated attacks on the system. Provide additional verification for users who want to enter the system to minimize or prevent attempted attacks carried out on the system.
