Abstract
In today's developments, batik is a culture that has its own characteristics from Indonesia which is admired by audiences from various parts of the world. However, many Indonesians do not know about the process of making batik. Therefore, this research draws from this problem, so that people continue to maintain, develop and also preserve batik culture by introducing more interesting application media with the help of Android devices. This research designed a media application to introduce the process of making batik with Augmented Reality technology using the markerless method and also the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method which later this application could help to preserve and also make it easier for people to get to know the process of making batik for the community. This application is designed using the Blender 3D application to create 3D objects, then processed into Unity 3D software, then after that it will be built into an APK and installed on an Android device. This application of Augmented Reality Technology for Introduction to the Batik Making Process has some information in it, such as introducing batik materials, 7 batik tools, and also providing 4 types of batik, each of which is given a moving animated object. This research also uses a questionnaire method which has been tested on 2 workers and 28 on the general public. who got a score of 83.21% so it can be concluded that the respondents "strongly agree" with the application of Augmented Reality technology to introduce the batik making process. This can help to preserve batik and also help make it easier for pkk mothers and the community to learn about the process of making batik.
