Abstract

The Limited Liability Company Law regulates social and environmental responsibility, this is something new in limited liability company law. The limited liability company act 1995 does not provide for this. In addition, it is not mentioned in the Commercial Law (hereinafter KUHD). Only the regulation in the Limited Liability Company Law is very minimal. In this article there is only one article, namely article 74. In addition, regulations regarding social and environmental responsibility (hereinafter referred to as TJSL) are contained in Article 74 paragraph (2), and are included in Government Regulations. This type of research can be classified as sociological (empirical) legal research, because in this research the author directly conducts research at the location or place under study in order to provide a complete and clear picture of the problem under study. The conclusions that can be obtained from the results of the research are First, the Arrangement of Corporate Social Responsibility in Indonesian Laws and Regulations has been regulated in several regulations such as the 1945 Constitution of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia which is the constitutional basis of Law no. 19 of 2003 concerning State Owned Enterprises, Law no. 25 of 2007 concerning Investment, Law no. 40 of 2007 concerning Limited Liability Companies, and Law Number 4 of 2009 concerning Mineral and Coal Mining. These four laws oblige companies to carry out corporate social responsibility. Second, the Implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility of PT. Indah Kiat in Tualang District, Siak Regency has carried out activities such as social assistance, employment and environmental roles, but it is not optimal and still requires more attention to the environment. Because if the role of the environment is not carried out properly, then the environment can be polluted, so that it can cause various impacts on the surrounding community. Especially the emergence of various types of diseases that can disturb the surrounding community. This will not be achieved if there is no high awareness from both the company and the community to protect the environment together.
